Happy Holidays! In keeping with tradition, we have an original Christmas story that EJ sent to his friends a couple of years ago and hasn't looked at since. Will he enjoy jokes he made in the past? Will he be disappointed in the ending? And most important, can anybody solve The Murder at Christmas Manor?

It's our favorite annual tradition, as ADHD-DVD's Hayley Leier stops by to talk about the best TV of the year. And since TV spent most of the year getting back on track after last year's strikes, it was kind of a weird year without a clear consensus favorite. But we still had plenty of winners to talk about as we dig into Fargo, The Bear, Girls5Eva, Somebody Somewhere, Interior Chinatown, and so much more. For the second week in a row, there's an attempt to figure out how famous Eiza Gonzalez is, plenty of tangents, and some real talk with North America's most trusted culture critic.

Tom Oord (Fool's Gold Variety Hour, my actual cousin) joins the Jason Statham Film Festival to discuss Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. It's a blast, both the movie and the conversation. We try to work out how we feel about the Rock these days, revel in some big stupid stunts, try to figure out if Eiza Gonzalez was already famous when she appeared in this movie, and also we talk about the Penguin. We had a lot of fun and I think you'll enjoy it!74

For Tom Waits' 75th Birthday, EJ is joined by friends and Tom Fans Becky, Becke, and Brad to draft their favorite Tom Waits songs. It is a very fun discussion celebrating one of the all-time greats. Friendship!

It's Cranksgiving! You know, the holiday when people watch both Crank movies. For our fourth annual Cranksgiving episode, it's the Cranksgiving Drinking Game. We'll talk about the rules in the episode, but EJ gets very drunk and more personal than you might expect. Also, Crank rules. Honestly, this is a messy episode. Maybe it's funny, but at the very least we take the stance that all other movies can eat a butt.

 

EJ is dealing with a lot of stuff after the election. He's maybe not smart or informed enough to just talk politics at length, but he needs this. But after a lot of rambling, he has a couple of delightful movies to discuss.  We're all doing our best over here.

EJ has news of an important lifestyle change and then talks a lot about a TV show and a video game, both from 2019. Perpetual Grace, Ltd and Baba Is You are both great but only one of them has Ben Kingsley singing "When Doves Cry".  And in the Jason Statham Film Festival, we finally meet The Meg.

Yes, there is some saucy talk but nothing that will require you to picture EJ doing anything disreputable or even fun. We've got thoughts on The Wild Robot, Agatha All Along, and Penguin. Plus Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is a tearjerker and the Jason Statham Film Festival looks at Fate of the Furious for some great action scenes and also some complete nonsense.

We're celebrating the 20th Anniversary of LOST with fan-favorite Hayley Leier (ADHD-DVD). Just having a great time talking about our favorite show: The episodes we keep rewatching, our theories that didn't pan out, our favorite characters and the love we still have for all those Lostaways. It was an absolute joy to record and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did!

After weeks of technical issues, EJ is back to talk about watching the last Jason Statham movie he hadn't seen with the deeply average Mechanic: Resurrection. Also, a favorite show comes to streaming and EJ talks about when he met James Earl Jones.
