Checking in with some TV talk, including anticipatory excitement for DTF St Louis and enthusiasm for Strip Law and its extremely podcast-friendly cast. Also, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is really funny. Sometimes it's fun to just enjoy TV!

We begin our sporadic but comprehensive look at the Coen Bros. filmography! This week, EJ talks about their first movie, Blood Simple plus a bonus look at Crimewave, their collaboration with Sam Raimi. We're talking about what major director had the best debut and the sheer lunacy of Crimewave, a movie that is not good but also I love with all my heart.

This week, we're sort of looking at the Super Bowl movie trailers. Also, some recent good TV and I'm surprised at how good Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die and Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie are. It's largely a positivity episode except for how that Mandalorian teaser was pretty weak.

This week, some things I've been enjoying recently. Ponies, Primal, The Pitt, and at least one other show that doesn't start with 'P'. Also, the Jason Statham Film Festival returns with Shelter and it's always a pleasure to talk about Sam Raimi.

This week, it's the 25 things we're looking forward to in 2026! The Odyssey! Daredevil! Coyote vs Acme! Two Jason Statham movies! The world may be a turd pit, but we're grabbing joy where we can!

Kicking off the new year by talking about the Top 25 TV Shows of last year! It's one of those episodes where I'm enthusiastic and we're all having fun with good TV.

Happy birthday Tom Waits! This year, inspired by the new Knives Out, we're talking about Tom's songs in movies and TV. From The Wire to Beavis and Butt-Head, I'm covering the things I like! Also, with the help of AI, we determine whether or not Tom Waits is Hellboy.

The delightful Rachel Hadaway (host of Rachel's Chart Chat on the People are the Enemy podcast) returns to talk about Season 2 of Peacemaker. We're talking bird blindness, super pets, John Cena being awesome and much more. We had so much fun talking about our favorite guy and hope you'll join us!

 

NOTE: I don't know why I pronounced "Vigilante" so weird multiple times. I think I got in my head about how harsh my Midwestern vowels sound and overcorrected. 

It's the most sacred holiday on our calendar! After doing two commentary tracks and two drinking game commentary tracks, this year EJ drank weed soda while watching Crank. You will notice that the runtime of this episode is significantly shorter than the movie...
