Episode 194 - Talkin' Trailers

This week, EJ watches the trailers for Superman, Nobody 2, and Ironheart. He also talks about them, in case you were wondering how that affected you. He also talks about Chekhov's Helicopter Accident and the new season of Poker Face. And then we wrap up Mission Prep with a re-watch of Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning and continue the Daredevil Cinematic Universe with the Director's Cut of the 2003 movie. You know who's good in that movie? Coolio.

Episode 193 - Pitt Pilled

This week, EJ finishes watching The Pitt, fumbles through talking about a sensitive subject on Andor, and revels in the weirdness of The Rehearsal. Also, he really liked Thunderbolts*, which is not going to shock anybody.

This week, EJ talks about Amazon taking over the rights to James Bond, anti-fascist TV, and the bizarre streaming movie Holland. Also, general enthusiasm about Mission: Impossible - Fallout!

Episode 190 - I'm Asking You to Trust Me, One Last Time

This episode has it all! If by "all", you mean "Mission: Impossible trailer talk, some quick takes on recent TV, and a mental health check-in".  In the M:I rewatch, we hit Rogue Nation and welcome Ilsa Faust back into our lives, and our trek through the Daredevil Cinematic Universe gets to the actual Daredevil movie. EJ has thoughts!

Episode 189 - The Jason Statham Film Festival Post-Show

We wrap up the Jason Statham Film Festival with a brief look at A Working Man and conclude that watching 50 movies of wildly varying quality was a good use of time. Plus, there's some Severance Season 2 talk, the Mission: Impossible rewatch continues, and EJ begins the Daredevil Cinematic Universe with The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. What do we do next week without a Jason Statham movie? Who can say? It's a new world and we're not excited about it.

Episode 188 - The Jason Statham Film Festival: The Beekeeper

We're reaching the end of the Jason Statham Film Festival, so we're closing it out with our friend, and huge Statham fan, Gen to talk about The Beekeeper. Statham's biggest solo hit and an absolutely bonkers movie, we're geeking out over the movie and the man in general.  We also try to fit the Beekeeper into the Mission: Impossible universe and you know how awesome that would be. 

Episode 187 - Two Banes and an Open Mind

This week, we're catching up on movies and TV. Daffy Duck! Daisy Ridley! Daredevil! The Severance season finale! Deli Boys! Also, EJ's doing a Mission: Impossible rewatch and the Jason Statham Film Festival nears its end with Expend4bles, a movie that does not live up to its tagline.  But that tagline is "They'll Die When They're Dead", and no movie lives up to that.

Episode 186 - Moe'z Tavern and other San Francisco Fun

EJ's back from vacation, so that means it's time for a trip report! Family and friends! Ant-Man! Acrobats! Pinball! An unlicensed Simpsons-themed bar! He had a great time and he's bursting to talk about it!

Episode 185 - No Clear Title Emerges

This week we talk about a couple of celebrity deaths and EJ commits to trying to watch Twin Peaks. He talks about seeing a TIm Heidecker show for free and the absolutely wild new origin for animated Spider-Man. The Jason Statham Film Festival speeds toward its conclusion with Meg 2: The Trench, a movie covered on this show in its initial release. That's right, we've talked about Meg 2 twice. We'll probably talk about it again sometime. Don't test us! We're not bluffing!
